The Office of Rep. Caroline Anne Jones
For Immediate Release
Washington, DC - Rep. Caroline Anne Jones (R-TX) endorsed the President's action to remove the United States from the Trans-Pacific Partnership
"President Macmillan has shown great leadership and dedication to his country in withdrawing from TPP which would have threatened hundreds of thousands of jobs if it had been allowed to come into force. TPP would have threatened the manufacturing and business across America in what is simply a bad deal for our country, and it is the responsibility of all of us to ensure that when we enter a deal we make it in the best interests of our constituents."
"TPP was a bad deal for America and it was the hallmark of the Democrats time in office. A bad deal brokered by a bad President. It is only good news that we have stopped the threat it loomed and I congratulate the President on his decisive action. America voted for decisive action and that is what the Republicans are delivering."
