Washington, DC – President Kyle Fitzgerald spoke at a signing ceremony for the Regulatory Relief Act.
“The Regulatory Relief Act codifies into law an executive order I issued earlier that will ultimately reduce the number of regulations in this country. We have too many regulations right now, and these regulations slow economic growth. We need to reduce our government’s regulatory burden. The Regulatory Relief Act mandates that for every new regulation, two existing regulations must be eliminated. Over time, this will reduce the number of regulations through a process of attrition as old and arcane regulations are eliminated to make way for new ones that we really need. I thank Congress for passing this on their own and bringing it to my desk.”
