1790 Business Financial Update

Recommended Posts

Companies/Corporations

Each year the CEO of the company or corporation must post a financial update of their business including a breakdown of their assets, revenue generated from those assets, taxes paid, salaries for the CEO and other executives, and the total profit for the business. Total annual profit for the business is added to the cash of the company owner (or shareholders in the case of a corporation).

Newspapers

The paper must pay the editor character (who serves the function of the CEO in a normal business) at least 10% of the paper's annual profits, the tax rate for each state where the readership point generating income is, and must pay 50% of the paper's annual profits for newspaper operations. Total annual profit for the newspaper is added to the cash of the newspaper owner (or shareholders in the case of a corporation).

@Michael My records show Declan Owens has 100% of the shares of the business and Jameson Owens owns 100% of the paper. Sound good? It's unnecessarily complicated to have your ownership split among numerous characters you control, especially while the U.S. Code allows for unlimited money transfers.
