  4. The Office of Rep. Caroline Anne Jones For Immediate Release Washington, DC - Rep. Caroline Anne Jones (R-TX) endorsed the President's action to remove the United States from the Trans-Pacific Partnership "President Macmillan has shown great leadership and dedication to his country in withdrawing from TPP which would have threatened hundreds of thousands of jobs if it had been allowed to come into force. TPP would have threatened the manufacturing and business across America in what is simply a bad deal for our country, and it is the responsibility of all of us to ensure that when we enter a deal we make it in the best interests of our constituents." "TPP was a bad deal for America and it was the hallmark of the Democrats time in office. A bad deal brokered by a bad President. It is only good news that we have stopped the threat it loomed and I congratulate the President on his decisive action. America voted for decisive action and that is what the Republicans are delivering."

    Caroline Anne Jones

Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Caroline Anne was the third of six children, but the only girl. Born to traditional god-fearing Republicans in a house full of men she learnt from a young age that she needed to fight for everything she wanted for no one would ever give it to her. That was a lesson that would stay with her throughout her life, and a philosophy that serves as the foundation of her politics. If you want something, then you must work for it. She was an average student but found her place when she signed up to the military at 18. She followed a long tradition of her father and brothers to enlist. During her time in the military she attended College where she studied Law and served as JAG officer. As JAG officer she prosecuted many cases and was a strong proponent of the use of the death penalty. She retired at the rank of Captain in 2005. In 2006 she joined the Tarrant County District Attorneys Office where she achieved a record making prosecution rate. Her record was appealing to local republicans who tapped her to run for District Attorney in 2008. Her tenure as District Attorney was moderately successful and the experience gained set her up for a Congressional run in 2010 where she ran for the 12th Congressional District. She is married to Lt. Col. (ret) Harrison Jones (m. 1998) and they have two children, Molly (b. 2000) and Sam (b. 2005). They live in Forth Worth, Texas, with their German Shepherd Saturn.
